The Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu controlling Zone 2 Command, has urged police officers of his command to return to work in Lagos and Ogun states.
According to the police boss, they need to return to their duty posts so as to ensure, adequate security, most especially at this season.
He made the appeal on Wednesday at a workshop which took place at the Nigeria Police Force Zone 2, Onikan in Lagos.
He noted that it is high time they put the #EndSARS protest behind in the spirit of patriotism, adding that they should use the opportunity to corecor wrong perceptions the youth have about them.
“We must have a change of attitude to our duty and put the people as the centre point of our policing,” he said.H
He urged them to center on policing system that would be accepted by the people so that the people would collaborate with them in curbing crime in the society.
