Muhammadu Buhari, the President of Nigeria has extended his good wishes to former Rivers Governor, Peter Odili, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
Buhari congratulated Odili in a statement issued by Femi Adesina, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, in Abuja on Thursday.
He acknowledged Odili’s contributions to the development of his immediate community, the Niger Delta, the nation and humanity as a physician and third governor of his state.
He commended his role in fostering peaceful and harmonious environment in the wider Niger Delta region through peaceful engagement and meaningful dialogue.
The president noted that Odili’s action is in line with this administration’s commitment to peace, stability and development in the region.
He prayed God almighty to sustain him with continued good health and fulfillment in the coming years as family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers gather to celebrate Odili’s milestones and achievements.
Odili is a knight of the Order of Saint Sylvester in the Catholic Church.
