The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has announced 501 new cases of COVID-19.
The federal health agency made this known in its verified Twitter handle on Sunday night.

NCDC also added that 519 patients have beendischarged after testing negative from the virus.
Acccording to the health agency, the new infections were confirmed in Abuja and 14 states, bringing the total number of cases to 78,434 .
Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with 218 infections, FCT had 112, Kaduna had 53, Plateau had 24 and Katsina had 21 infections.
Others were: Kano-16, Yobe-14, Ondo-10, Ogun-9, Edo-7, Bayelsa-5, Rivers-4, Borno-4, Osun-2 and Ekiti-2.
