The lawmaker representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District, Ben Murray-Bruce has told a Non-Governmental Organization, TrackaNG to go and ask MDAs saddled with release of funds for constituency project on the progress made by the projects he nominated.
TrackaNG had said that the lawmaker had said a project nominated by Murra-Bruce has been mobilised by 70% butnot executed.
The Senator took to his Twitter handle to answer reactions that followed the revelation.
“I understand that one @TrackaNG is alleging that I nominated a project and the Federal Government released 70% of the money. I advise those behind the allegations that I dont handle ANY project nor do I handle any funds. I advise them to direct their inquiries to relevant MDAs.
Replying the Senator, the NGO said: Our work is to track public projects and we have done this since 2014.
“Our question has not been answered. As a representative of people, can you state the exact location of projects you nominated as well as status?
“Your colleagues have done the right thing – accountability.
Whrn he was asked how he spent his alowance of 11.3m,he responded saying: To the best of my knowledge, I am the only Senator I know who shares his allowance with his constituents. I shared photos as proof. You can @Google them. Now, can you please tell me what your own elected Senator who represents you does with his allowance.”
