Igboho: Fulani herdsmen launch reprisal attacks against Ogun community, kill farmers

Barely a week after the visit of the Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo (aka Sunday Igboho) visited Ogun to evict Fulani herdsmen from Igua, the herdsmen have reportedly launch a reprisal attacks.

It was learnt that the herdsmen stormed Owode Ketu community, maiming the villagers around 5am on Thursday

Speaking on the unfortunate incident,  the House of Assembly member representing Ketu Constituency, Hon Wahab Haruna Abiodun, lamentedt that, “It is so sad that Ketu Constituency is bathing in the blood of constituents.”

He said: , “Fulani herders attacked Owode ketu in Eggua ward and killed no fewer than six people, leaving scores seriously injured.”

Acccording to him, two other farmers, after being lynched, were thrown into Yewa River along Eggua road from the bridge.

“This was a reprisal attack by herdsmen as they came in hundreds following the visitation of Sunday Igboho to the area,” he said.

It was also gathered that a farmer, Delete Olowoniyi was gruesomely killed in Oha village, Imeko around 1:30am on Sunday.
