Lagos highbrow estate cries out over Coronavirus

Danger could best fit the signal that is emerging from Omole Phase 2, one of the highbrow residential estates on the Mainland of Lagos.

The residents in a statement signed by their Chairman, Bamidele Lanisa Wednesday night raised the alarm concerning a victim of the dreaded virus in its neighbouring community of Olowoira, who allegedly died after being brought back home following rejection by the health centre where the patient was taken to.

The statement alleged that the victim was brought back home in a tricycle after failure to secure an ambulance to evacuate her to the IDH in Yaba.

The statement did not however states whether a call was put through to the NCDC to notify it of the incident.

The Agency in its latest figure released Wednesday night, revealed that the number of Coronavirus cases in Nigeria, has risen to 174 With Akwa Ibom joining the list of affected states.
Olowoira is one of the densely populated satellite communities in Lagos.
