The Attorney General of the FederationAbubakar Malami has made volte face as he has refused to appear before the presidential panel investigating Ibrahim Magu, for alleged corrupt practices as EFCC boss.
Malami reportedly declined an invitation to appear before the panel to testify against Magu whom he accused of corruption and abuse of office.
Recall that the AGF had said he would “gladly” obey if the panel summoned him in the ongoing probe.
Wahab Shittu, Magu’s counsel, recently wrote to the presidential panel asking it to summon Malami to prove the allegations against his client.
In response, the AGF said he would comply, in line with the current administration’s
President Mohammadu Buhari recently set up a panel headed by retired Justice Ago Salami to probe the allegations levelled against the suspended EFCC Czar
