Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state has said that the state has moved the war against crime from mere management to prevention and, to a great extent, predictive. He said that the target is to become 100% predictive in solving security challenges.
In connection with this, he has donated 13 trucks made in the state and 20 motorbikes to the security agencies in the state to aid the fight against crime.
Out of the 13 vehicles, which are all four-wheel trucks procured from Innoson Motors, Nnewi in the state, five each will go to the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), while the remaining three will be for the Anambra State Vigilante Service.
Obiano said further that the, “state is currently rated the safest state in Nigeria; yet we won’t relent in our efforts to protect the lives and properties of our people.”
