Fulani herdsmen have said the Anti-Grazing Law implemented by Benue state government, shows they are not valued despite their contributions to the growth of the state.
They also denied speculations that they are set to attack communities over the law.
According to the State Coordinator of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Garus Gololo, herdsmen will not attack anyone in the state as they do not possess weapons.
“Nobody is threatening to attack Benue. The Kautal Hore has denied reports published in newspapers about the attack. The group said that it has nothing to do with Benue state.
“The Fulani is not prepared to attack anybody because we don’t have weapons to attack the Benue people. The latest development has shown that the Fulani are nothing to the people of Benue State despite the fact that we worked hard to ensure the victory of the current governor at the polls in 2015.”
