The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central District, Shehu Sani, has said Nigeria’s security agencies must be developed to the 21st century grade without leaving one for the other.

This is a reaction to recent approval given by Muhammad Buhari, the President of Nigeria, to the release of $1bn for the purchase of military gadget in the fight against insurgency.

“If we use a billion dollar to upgrade our military arsenals to the 21st century, while leaving behind our police in the 20th century and other security agencies in the 19th century, we will be dancing with the Python & sleeping with the Cobra,Viper,Mamba & Anaconda,” he wrote.
