The implementation of the 2020 budget has been extended by the Senate.
The implementation which was supposed to lapse on 31st December, 2020 has now been extended to 31st March, 2020
The amended motion was presented to the floor of the house by the Senate Leader, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi.
Acccording to him, the extension is necessary because some agencies of the Government are yet to execute meaningful projects.
The disruption causes by the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated the decision.
The motion was finally adopted after full.deliberation.
