The Senate has said it is not confident of passing the 2018 Appropriation Bill by January as it fears some Federal Government Agencies may delay its deliberations.

Chairman of Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Sabi Abdullahi (APC-Niger North), revealed this to journalists.

He said the Chief Executive Officers of these Agencies do not appear but send their junior officers who lack knowledge of their Agency’s activities.

Abdullahi especially fingered the Group Managing Director of NNPC, Maikanti Baru, Governor of CBN, Godwin Emefiele, Director General of DPR, Director General of NBS, Yemi Kale, among others, for not appearing before the Senate to defend their Budgets.

President Buhari had presented the Appropriation Bill to a joint session of the National Assembly on 7 November.
