A lawyer representing EndSARS protesters, Adesina Ogunlana has told the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry to summon the former Governor of Lagos, who is currently the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola to appear before it.
Recall that recently , Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led government inaugurated a panel led by retired Justice Doris Okuwobi to investigate the alleged mass killings carried out by soldiers at the Lekki tollgate during the protest.
Explaining why Fashola should be summoned, Ogunlana said that he needs to come and tell the world about a camera he found at the scene where the alleged killings took place.
He noted that the Minister’s visit to the scene may connote an intrusio into the evidence of the alleged killings.
When asked whether he knows about the presence of Fashola at the scene, the operator of the Lekki tollgate, Abayomi Omomuwa said he only read it in the news paper.
Omomuwa also said that he doesn’t know about the camera Fashola allegedly removed at the scene of the incident
The panel chairman, Justice Okuwobi, said that Ogunlana needs to to follow the necessary procedure if he want Fashola to appear before the panel.
