Former Minister for Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has lauded the Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar III, for saying that the North is the worst place to live in Nigeria.

The monarch had lamented that activities of the daredevil bandits make the region the worst place in the country.

Acccording to the former Minister, the monarch statement should be a fillip for those at the helm of affairs to do the needful as regards insecurity.

Abubakar had said the North was the worst place in Nigeria due to the activities of bandits.

The monarch also said that the heavy presence of security personnel has not deterred the bandits.

“The north is the worst place to be in this country because bandits go about in the villages with their AK47 and nobody talks to them. They stop at the markets and buy things and even collect change with their weapons,” Sultan said.

Reacting via his Tweeter handle,  Fani-Kayode said: “Deeply courageous of His Eminence the Sultan of Sokoto to speak truth in this way.
