The Yoruba socio -cultural group , Afenifere, has cautioned the Federal Government against heating up the polity, noting that politics in the country was taking a dangerous turn .
Afenifere spokesman, Yinka Odumakin, in an interview with punch said, “Nothing can be ruled out in this moment where the government is in overdrive, where politics has taken a dangerous turn and perceived opponents are being hounded here and there.
This is in reaction to frame-up allegations raised by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki before he was invited to defend himself on the allegations raised by some crime suspects arrested over Offa bank robbery.
The latest person to allege fram up is former President, Olusegun Obasanjo.
“Don’t forget somebody said he was going to be framed for cult killings and shortly after, he was being invited over bank robberies.
“We are moving towards elections and we need a conducive atmosphere; so , enough of this high-wire politics to heat up the polity .”
