The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has submitted his written statement to the Police in defence of allegation raised against him by thhe Force concerning the robbery of five banks in Offa, Kwara state, which left over thirty people dead.
Five of the suspect arrested fingered the Senate President and Kwara Governor, Ahmed Abdulfatah as their sponsors.
The Police had earlier invited Saraki to appear at the Force headquarters to defend himself before telling him to defend the allegatiion in writing.
Saraki took to his Twitter accont to announce that he has replied under 48 hours as said by the Force Spakesman, Jimoh Moshood.
“In line with their request, earlier today, the Police received my response to their letter on the investigation into the Offa robbery case,” he wrote.
