Imo Governor, Rochas Okorocha has revealed the cost of each of the statues of some African leaders erected in the state capital.
The governor made this known through his Special Assistant on Electronic Media, Ebere Nzeworji.
Nzeworji stated that each of the statues cost between N400,000 and N500,000.
The Governor’s aide, in an interview in Owerri, the state capital, said it was not true that millions were spent on erecting statues.
Nzeworji, however, said the government had taken delivery of new equipment for its Specialist Hospital and that 21 doctors were currently in the facility to deliver healthcare service to residents.
He disclosed that out of the 27 hospitals built, five had been handed over to the Military as specialist health institutions.
