The chances of Akinwumi Ambode going for a second term as Lagos Governor under the ruling APC suffered another setback after all pleas with APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu, came to nothing.
Exclusive information reaching us, said Ambode left Lagos early Wednesday to meet with Tinubu, in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, where he pleaded profusely in a meeting that lasted exactly ten minutes.
The APC National Leader reportedly turned down Ambode’s plea, telling him to stop begging him, adding that he should go and test his popularity at the polls if he feels otherwise.
Ambode was said to have travelled in company of four others without his official apparatuses.
